The beA’s situation is a source of shame for others, as many of the lawyers with whom we talk about it find. It is ignored that there are almost no IT projects that run without delays etc.
The fact that there is no legal basis for enabling the mailbox for all lawyers corresponds to the typical blind spot of lawyers who think that they do not really need to take the legal issues seriously, after all they are specialists in this. This happens to them again and again.
The question of how the future legal framework for the legal profession will develop is critical. Karl-Peter Winters was already wrong here in his book “Der Rechtsmarkt” in 1991: it was precisely the changes in the regulatory framework that drove the changes in the legal profession that we are observing today.
